Our goal as teachers within our children’s ministry is to “ train up a child in the way they should go, so that when they are old they will not depart”. From our baby and toddler class up through our older kids class that goes up through eighth grade our goal is to teach these children most importantly that God loves them and has a purpose and a plan for their lives and that their salvation is totally dependent on their own faith in Christ redeeming work on the cross. Satan is not going to wait until they are adults to try to take hold of their lives and we know there is a constant battle for these children’s souls. Statistics Show that young adults who profess Christ as their Savior are 75 to 80% more likely to turn away from Christianity when they go to college and university due to the great pressure of the professors and the humanistic agenda taught within those colleges and universities. Our goal is to start now to prepare them for that battle. In our baby and toddler room we pour out the love of Jesus on his little lambs and read the simple Bible stories to the three and four-year-olds in the older class we strive to not only teach through God’s word but to also teach these children to trust in God‘s word and to, “ be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you… 1 Peter 3:15.” We teach doctrinal truth at a level they can understand so they will be ready for the future as men and women of God.
